The 3rd year cadet of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Tetiana Veremiienko took part in the city open beach wrestling championship dedicated to the memory of the Heroes of Ukraine who gave their lives for freedom and independence. According to the results of the competition, the cadet took second place in the 55 kg weight category among adults.

On the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, cadets and staff of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs put flowers at the monuments to the fallen defenders of Ukraine and law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. Ukrainians honor the memory of the soldiers who at different times gave their lives for our freedom and independence.

On August 29, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine - servicemen and members of volunteer formations who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, perpetuating their heroism, strengthening the patriotic spirit in society.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs cadets Artur Nikiforuk and Dmytro Krupetskykh took part in the three-kilometer athletics race "Honoring the Warriors, Running for the Heroes of Ukraine".
At the beginning of the event, all participants observed a minute of silence in honor of the defenders who died in the Russian war against Ukraine.
Artur's (71) and Dmytro's (73) bib numbers bore the names of Danylo Liashchuk, Dmytro Kotsiubailo, Viktor Melnychenko, and Oleksandr Tkachenko, who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukraine.

To the great people of great Ukraine, who are celebrating a great day today - Independence Day! A holiday of free people. A holiday of strong people. A holiday of worthy people. A holiday of equals. Ukrainian men and Ukrainian women. All of them. In our entire country.
Today we celebrate the 32nd anniversary of our independence - the independence of Ukraine.

Today we celebrate the 32nd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. On the National Flag Day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the ceremony of raising the blue and yellow flag.
The country's largest state flag was raised on the territory of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War Memorial Complex in Kyiv.

The Minister of Internal Affairs addressed the citizens on the occasion of the National Flag Day of Ukraine.
"With the blue and yellow colors, our defenders bravely go into battle and defend the values symbolized by our flag - the integrity, independence and unity of the nation. These are the colors that fly throughout the civilized world in support of the free Ukrainian people. We are proud of them. And we are fighting for them"
