Netting is an important area of volunteer activity

The first-year students of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, who are studying Law Enforcement, Ilia Tepliakov, Diana Kurako, Ihor Shulha, Anna Rozhenko and Anna Kravchenko, joined the volunteer work for the first time. They helped the volunteers of the ‘WE ARE HERE - Northern Outpost’ charity foundation to make camouflage nets for the military. 


Donation saves lives

Representatives of the student-cadet Parliament of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs - second-year cadets Vitalii Politov, Kostiantyn Polishchuk, Maksym Kholod and Vasyl Mykhailenko - have once again become donors. The guys are well aware that their blood can save the lives of defenders and civilians in trouble. 


Classes in the discipline ‘Information and communication technologies’

For higher education applicants of Sumy branch of KhNUIA, who are studying in the specialities ‘Law’ and ‘Law Enforcement’, a lesson on digital security ‘CyberBase’ was conducted by the acting head of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Svitlana Vyhaniailo.


High school students of Sumy region were told about the university

An online career guidance meeting on the topic “Professions that can be obtained by studying at Sumy branch of KhNUIA” with students of Sumy institution of general secondary education №26 was held by Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities Tetiana Ponomarenko.


Youth is the driving force of our country

Viktoriia Yarova, the Head of the Student and Cadet Parliament of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, a member of the Youth Council at Sumy City Council, co-organised the event ‘Dialogues of Victory 2024’ for the youth of Sumy Territorial Community. Active and motivated young men and women of the community joined the event. 


Familiarization with the peculiarities of the juvenile prevention sector

A binary lesson on the discipline “Foreign Language for Professional Purposes” for first-year cadets majoring in Law Enforcement was conducted by Daniil Mykhailyk, an inspector of the Juvenile Prevention Sector of Sumy Regional Department of the Main Office of the National Police in Sumy Region, Yulia Samoilova, a professor of the Department of Humanities at Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, and Hanna Dovhopolova, an associate professor of the same department.


Forensic equipment in law enforcement

During the binary lesson on “Forensic Technology”, the first-year students of Sumy branch of KhNUIA studied the classification of technical and forensic means, concepts and their types. They got acquainted with the equipment of the mobile forensic laboratory and had the opportunity to gain practical skills in its use.


Binary lesson in the discipline “Criminalistics”

Olena Moskaliuk, Senior Criminalist Specialist on Special Assignments of the Criminalistics Department of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, conducted an online class for third-year cadets of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.


Supporting our heroes

Students and lecturers of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the charity event “Support the Hero”, which was initiated by the student-cadet Parliament within the framework of the project “Friendly Support” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. They provided humanitarian aid to servicemen undergoing treatment and rehabilitation. 


Advanced training in the field of AI

Nataliia Zlenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, took part in the webinar “Artificial Intelligence and Media Literacy: Tools and Recommendations” from the Academy of Ukrainian Press with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
