A solemn event on the occasion of the National Police Day was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with the participation of cadets, master's students, employees and management of the faculties No. 1 and No. 4, Sumy branch.
"The functions of the police have been transformed in recent years in line with the challenges of a full-scale war. But loyalty to the oath and the law, readiness to always come to the rescue remain unchanged," the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the National Police of Ukraine.
Dear officers, employees, cadets, veterans! I congratulate you on your professional holiday - the Day of the National Police of Ukraine! For the third year in a row, we have been celebrating it in difficult wartime. Our state and the entire Ukrainian people are confronting the cynical Russian aggressor. Viktoriia Yarova, Head of the Student and Cadet Parliament of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, member of the Youth Council at Sumy City Council, took part in a workshop for representatives of youth councils and initiative groups as part of the Youth 2035 workshop series.
On the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine, representatives of the cadet and student self-government of Sumy branch of KhNUIA organized and conducted an intellectual and cognitive brain-ring. The teams of the Faculties No. 1, No. 4 and Sumy branch of KhNUIA met in an intellectual duel for knowledge of the history of the state and law.
Oleksii Shumilo, Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, together with first-year students majoring in Law, took part in a regular thematic lecture by judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on the topic "Application of European Union Acts and Judgments of the Court of Justice in the Practice of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine".
Valentyna Vasylenko, Head of the Department of Humanities of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, together with Professor Nadiia Demydenko and Associate Professor Tetiana Ponomarenko, took part in a webinar on "Preventing Corruption and Ensuring Integrity", which was delivered by representatives of the NACP Integrity Office.
