Lesia Ukrainka's life was too eventful for such a fragile woman. She had Ukrainian roots, a noble lineage, followed European traditions, struggled with illness and social dogmas, and sought to be independent and have the right to her own opinion.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector of the university, the Chairman of the Academic Council Valerii SOKURENKO congratulated and presented the departmental incentive awards of the National Police of Ukraine to the employees of the university. The members of the Academic Council discussed a number of topical issues of the higher education institution under martial law 

Russia brought us grief, ruins, occupation, kidnapping of children and torture chambers, seeking to break our spirit and conquer the country. But the aggressor’s plans failed. Ukraine fought back. February 24 was established as the National Day of Prayer by a Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It was on February 24, 2022 that Russia crossed the last line - it began a bloody full-scale war against Ukraine and the genocide of the Ukrainian people. Ukraine survived thanks to the patriots of its state, as well as prayer for Ukraine. 

On the occasion of the National Day of Prayer, students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs put flowers at the monuments to the fallen heroes who gave their lives for the territorial integrity and independence of our country. With a minute of silence, they honored the bright memory, courage, strength of spirit, resilience and heroic feat of the defenders of Ukraine.

A track and field race was held at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with the participation of cadets, students, master's students, employees and management of the university.

On the eve of the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, a curatorial educational online event was held for cadets of Sumy branch of KhNUIA, dedicated to honoring the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom and dignity of Ukraine.

Professor of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines of Sumy Branch Olena LUK’IANYKHINA, together with the Public Relations Inspector of the Patrol Police Department in Sumy Region Maryna HORKOVSKA, held a session on the topic “Working Conditions. Factors of the Work Activity of a Police Officer”.

The Head of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines of Sumy branch of KhNUIA, Svitlana VYHANIAILO, introduced students of the specialty "Law enforcement activities" to the online course CyberBase, which covers the basics of cyber hygiene for students and cadets of higher education institutions with specific learning conditions.

Events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred were held at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The Rector of the University, General of Police of the Third Rank Valerii SOKURENKO, Vice-Rectors of the University, Police Colonels Serhii BORTNYK, Oleksandr MUZYCHUK, Directors of Educational and Research Institutes, Employees and Students honored the feat of those who in 2014, during the Revolution of Dignity, paid the highest price for freedom for Ukraine and its people – their lives.
