The students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs put flowers at the memorial signs and observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of millions of innocent Jews and other national minorities killed during World War II. 

Students of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs have once again joined the volunteer activity of blood donation for military and civilians. Donation is not only a way to save lives, but also a way to demonstrate social responsibility and unity in difficult times. 

At all locations of KhNUIA - in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytska, Sumy and Poltava regions - students and university employees celebrated an important historical and political event - the unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic into a single (unified) Ukrainian state.

Unity Day is a public holiday, which is also our most relevant modern maturity exam, which the Ukrainian political nation and the modern Ukrainian state are currently passing with the support of the entire civilized democratic world.

On January 22, 1919, the Act of Union (unification) of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic into a single independent state was proclaimed on Sophia Square in Kyiv in a solemn atmosphere.

Within the framework of the project “Books for Heroes” of the Department of Education and Science of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, representatives of Sumy branch of KhNUIA visited one of the medical institutions where servicemen are undergoing rehabilitation and handed over books by Ukrainian and foreign writers.

Within the framework of the curatorial hour, the cadets of Sumy branch of KhNUIA together with their curator, senior lecturer of the Department of Legal Disciplines Andrii Siadrystyi visited the Iceberg Sports and Recreation Center. The excursion was organized to promote the physical and spiritual development of young people. 

The participants of the meeting presented reports on the work done, spoke about achievements and successfully implemented initiatives, and also shared plans for the future. Special attention was paid to discussing ways to improve the work of the Parliament.

Vice-Rector of the University Oleksandr Muzychuk held a working meeting with curators of educational groups of the ERI No. 1–5, Sumy branch and Kremenchuk Flight College. The participants of the meeting summed up the work of the curators in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year and outlined further tasks for the second semester.

The Head of the Department of Humanities of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, Valentyna Vasylenko, and associate professors of the same department, Nadiia Demydenko and Tetiana Ponomarenko, took part in the discussion of the project on the introduction of an Information System for Recording Information on Administrative Offenses.
