The student and cadet self-government of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs joined the festive celebrations on the occasion of the Europe Day. The events were attended by the leaders of the region, the city, representatives of local government, youth leaders of the city and active students of higher education institutions.

An informational and educational hour dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II of 1939-1945 was organized and held for the 1st year cadets of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. 1st year cadet Anhelina Pravdiuk acquainted the students with the information material of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.

Oleksii Shumilo, Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, donated textbooks and manuals he co-authored to the library of the branch. We hope that they will be useful to the students of the higher education institution.

Volodymyr Dementov, Associate Professor of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, PhD in Public Administration, has successfully completed several online courses on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).

Valerii Matus, a lecturer at the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, has successfully completed the online module "Organized Criminal Groups of the 'Thieves in Law' Type and Their Activities in the EU Countries", which was introduced by the European Union Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform in Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine) in cooperation with the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) and the TOPCOP project.

Associate Professors of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Svitlana Petrovska, Liudmyla Parfentii and Svitlana Vyhaniailo took part in the webinar "Countering Cryptojacking in the EU", which was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project "EU Practices for Protecting the Financial System from Cyber Threats".

A regular meeting of the student-cadet scientific club "VERITAS" of the Department of Humanities of Sumy branch of KhNUIA was held on the topic "The essence and factors of formation of professional reliability of future law enforcement officers in martial law" under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities Tetiana Bilous.

Maryna Vasylenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines, organized an excursion to the forensic laboratory of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs for high school students of Sumy Specialized School of I-III degrees No. 2 named after D. Kosarenko. The event was attended by Valerii Kudriavtsev, a leading specialist of Sumy branch, who familiarized future graduates with the rules of admission to the state order and contractual form of education, paid attention to the areas of training of higher education applicants and the benefits of studying at Sumy branch of KhNUIA.

On May 8, Ukraine, together with the whole world, celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. On this day, cadets of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in a city event dedicated to the memory of all victims of the Second World War of 1939-1945, which killed about 10 million Ukrainians.
