Valerii Matus, a lecturer of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy branch of KhNUIA, took part in the II All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day with the theme "The rights of prisoners of war in the global system of human rights".

On the occasion of St. Mykolai Day, volunteers - students of the 1st year of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Mariia Kolbas, Anastasiia Chala, Vlada Barabash, Maia Martynenko, Viktoriia Sirenko, Iryna Tomchenko helped the Charity Fund "Mirror of Good" in weaving winter camouflage nets.

Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines, Head of the Scientific Circle "State and Legal Disciplines" of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, Candidate of Historical Sciences Lesia Honcharenko, together with members of the circle Daria Kolomiiets and Antonina Tkach, took part in the work of a scientific and practical round table dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the proclamation of the General declaration of human rights on the topic "Protection of human rights in Ukraine: current state and prospects for improvement".

Tetiana Herashchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, held a curatorial hour-conversation with cadets on the topic "Violence as a social problem". The event was held as part of the All-Ukrainian Week of Law.

During the week, with the aim of deepening cooperation with the schools of the city of Sumy, a podcast training "No one will help?: psychological and legal assistance for women, men, children who have experienced domestic violence" was held, created within the framework of the UN Program for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding with the support of European Union in Ukraine.

Every year on December 14, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Commemoration of the liquidators of the consequences of the accident at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant - people who, at the cost of their lives and health, were able to overcome the terrible tragedy of the 20th century, which happened on April 26, 1986.

The issues of war and peace are the most significant for Ukraine today, because the future of our country as an independent state depends on their solution. The meeting of the student scientific circle of the Department of Humanities "VERITAS" on the topic "In Search of Lifelong Peace" was devoted to consideration of these issues.

Students of the 4th year of the "Law" specialty of Sumy branch of KhNUIA, Yevhenia Budiukova and Yevhenia Kovalenko, under the guidance of assistant professor of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines Liudmyla Parfentii, gave a lecture on the topic "Domestic violence" : responsibility and combating"

Oleksii Shumilo, Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, took part in the webinar "Disclosure of planned forestry activities by means of electronic maps", which was held by  "Forest Initiatives and Society" within the framework of the "Program to combat forest crimes in Ukraine" project.

As part of the All-Ukrainian Week of Law and implementation of the Communication Strategy on the Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine until 2025, a round table was held at the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA on the topic "Fraud on the insurance market: current problems and ways to solve them on the way to the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine".
