Head of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Olena LUK’IANYKHINA of Sumy branch of KhNUIA joined the webinar “Academic Integrity and Ethics of Scientific Research in the Era of Open Science”.

August 29 is the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko, the Deputy Ministers and Heads of the MIA Staff, the Commander of the National Police, the State Security Service of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine honored the memory of the Heroes who died for Ukraine.

On the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, which is celebrated annually on August 29, military personnel and members of volunteer formations who gave their lives in the fight for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state are honored.

On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, the curators of the Department of social and humanitarian work held an information and educational hour for students of the ERI No. 1-4 and Sumy branch of KhNUIA on the topic: "We remember the heroes who gave their most valuable for the freedom of Ukraine."

Dear Ukrainians! Dear people! Today is the Independence Day of Ukraine. I am here now, in the heart of Kyiv, on Independence Square. And it is here that one best feels what independence is, why it is so important to us. And why Maidan is much more than the main square of the country. Because it is a symbol - a symbol of independence, its guardian.

Dear colleagues, cadets, students, university veterans!

I sincerely congratulate you on the main state holiday - the Independence Day of Ukraine!

This day is a symbol of the eternal aspiration of the freedom-loving Ukrainian people for freedom, the right to independently choose their own path and live with dignity and peace in their own state.

The Minister of Internal Affairs congratulated Ukrainians on Ukraine's Independence Day on his official Telegram channel. Ihor Klymenko noted that 34 years ago, Ukraine made its choice - to be a free and independent state. Today, this choice is confirmed every day by our people.

Today is an important day – the day of one of our strongest emotions – the feeling that happens when you are at home or when you recognize your own. And wherever you are in the world, whatever country you come to, when you notice the Ukrainian flag, you understand that next to you, maybe people you don’t know personally, but these are definitely familiar hearts.

On National Flag Day, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko congratulated Ukrainians and emphasized the importance of the blue-and-yellow flag for the country.

The official celebration of the National Flag Day of Ukraine began on August 23, 2004, when the Decree of the President of the Republic “On the National Flag Day of Ukraine” was signed. This Decree “to honor the centuries-old history of Ukrainian statehood, the state symbols of independent Ukraine and to foster respect for the state symbols of Ukraine among citizens” established this new holiday in Ukraine.
