New Year and Christmas holidays in Ukraine continue. Traditionally, twelve days after Christmas are called the Feasts, which last until the Epiphany, January 19. On the Eve of the Old New Year (January 13 in the old style) in Ukraine celebrate the Generous Evening.
Serhii Lukash, Director of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, met with 4th-year students studying under the program "2 years cadet - 1 year student". The program provides for two years of obtaining a bachelor's degree in full-time training in the specialty “Law Enforcement” and the third year - transfer to remote training and service in junior police positions.
During the month, the second-year cadets of Sumy branch of KhNUIA will undergo internships in police units throughout Ukraine. 97 cadets of the university will serve in the departments of preventive activities of Sumy, Chernihiv, Donetsk and Poltava regions.
Iryna Maisun, a lecturer at the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, successfully completed an eight-week course "Introduction to International Criminal Law" from Case Western Reserve University. The course was taught by one of the world's leading experts in this field - Michael Scharf.
