The scientific forum, which was held at Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, was opened by the Rector, corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Valerii SOKURENKO. He emphasized the importance of conducting scientific research in the context of Ukraine's establishment as a sovereign, democratic and legal state, its struggle for independence and territorial integrity, and the development of all spheres of public life.
The conference participants were also addressed by Viktor Vasylenko, First Vice-Rector of KhNUIA, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor; Nina Linde, Director of the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences; Serhii Lukash, Director of the Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.
The participants of the scientific meeting were judges, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, practicing lawyers, and scholars from higher education institutions of Ukraine, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Finland, Poland, Estonia, and Lithuania. A total of 133 abstracts were submitted for the conference.
The main areas of work of the conference: theoretical and historical paths of development of the state and law; historical and philosophical paradigms in the context of European integration; the formation of constitutionalism in Ukraine and foreign countries; modern issues of civil law and process in the context of the development of the legal system; modern strategies for the development of public law; theoretical and practical issues of criminal law and process at the current stage of the development of the legal system; linguistics and intercultural communication in the context of law; strategy for the innovative development of general and legal psychology; Ukrainian economy in martial law and prospects for post-war recovery; modern information technologies and digitalization for the purposes of society, state, security; legal, economic and social aspects of European, world and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine in martial law and the post-war period.
